       Composite Messiah A composite of 103 images of the Christian Messiah. Included were paintings, drawings and photographs of actors playing Christ. The source images used to generate this composite consist of paintings, drawings, photographs of sculptures, and images from popular media (such as television or film). By creating these images, it is my intent to uncover clues regarding the collective, cultural representation of deity, and to inspire discourse. The image is created by compositing (combining, layering, averaging) groups of exisiting photographs (or other images) into a single work. The process is achieved by manually aligning each image, then scanning and layering them using custom written software.
