 Composites zeitgeist deities |
        Composite Brahma A composite of 115 images of Brahma. Included were paintings, drawings and photos of sculptures and statues. The source images used to generate this composite consist of paintings, drawings, photographs of sculptures, and images from popular media (such as television or film). By creating these images, it is my intent to uncover clues regarding the collective, cultural representation of deity, and to inspire discourse. The image is created by compositing (combining, layering, averaging) groups of exisiting photographs (or other images) into a single work. The process is achieved by manually aligning each image, then scanning and layering them using custom written software.
